I'm an agronomist with interest in applied science, landscape studies, nature conservation, wetlands, and land use management. I have over 15 years of experience in environmental conservation projects. Part of this work was in the Amazon rainforest; other work was conducted in semi-desert and temperate ecosystems in Mexico and the U.S.A. and in Brazilian subtropical highland grasslands. My professional history includes various research and administrative positions such as Coordinator of the environmental monitoring sector at the Brazilian government secretary, Co-chair of the International Chapter at the Society of Wetland Scientists, Environmental Counselor in Mexico, Conservation Specialist at The Nature Conservancy, and Research Professor at UAQ.
